TOUCHDOWN!
I was so excited to be asked to make some football themed cupcakes for a super bowl party! The goal posts are pretzel sticks put together with royal icing, and the footballs are chocolate caramels with royal icing laces. Go team!
Happy January Birthdays
There are two lovely ladies in my office who celebrate birthdays in January, so I jumped at the opportunity to make some pretty pink primroses and apple blossoms for the January birthday cake!
Wii Love Daddy!
My husband's birthday was in the beginning of January, and for his birthday he asked for the "Wii Party" game (which is SO much fun!). So when I asked my 5 year old what he thought Daddy's birthday cake should look like, he told me it should have a picture of Daddy on it, wearing a birthday hat. So I thought that maybe we could put Daddy's Mii on the cake. I sketched out the face and transfered it onto the cake using one of my favorite techniques. I had a lot of fun making this cake, and collaborating with my favorite little assistant!
The resemblance is uncanny, don't you think?

I'm Still Here!
