Kayak Cake
What's great about this cake is everything is edible. The trees are Rice Krispie Treats with royal icing, mounted on pretzel rods. The kayak is also Rice Krispie Treats covered in Fondant, and the oar is made out of gum paste. This cake was so fun to make!
Kid Birthday Cakes
That's cotton candy for the smoke stack.
Super Why cupcakes!
And here's one for all you Yo Gabba Gabba friends!
The sides of the YGG cake were sugar cookies hand decorated to look like the show's characters.
Princess cake.
The princess cake was accessorized with some pretty rose cupcakes in corresponding colors.

Welcome to Taste & See Cake Design!
Cake decorating has been a hobby of mine over the last couple of years. It all started with this.
This was my oldest son's 4th birthday cake. Horrible, isn't it? But in all fairness, this was the first cake I ever made. Until then I had always purchased my kid's birthday cakes from the grocery store or club store. That year I decided to do something different and thought I would try a 3 dimensional firetruck cake. No big deal, right? But even though it turned into a much bigger undertaking than I thought, I realized how much I enjoyed doing it. I loved imagining the design, planning through the logistics of execution and seeing the picture in my mind becoming a reality.
Since that day my passion for designing and decorating cakes has grown tremendously! I have learned so much through the courses I have taken, and even just figuring things out on my own. I now make cakes of all sizes for any occasion!
I hope you like what you see! If you're interested in placing an order, please contact me!
